RICHARD A. SARI

{LEAD} Richard Andrew Sari, 53, of the 200 block of Miami Road, died June 8, 1994, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

He was a native of Trenton, N.J., and was a longshoreman for I.T.O. He was a member of DeBaun Baptist Church in Chesapeake and had been a member of the International Longshoreman's Association for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.

{REST} He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Sproul of Portsmouth, Va.; two sons, Johnny Sproul and Wayne Sproul, both of Louiseville, Ky.; his mother and stepfather, Annie E. and Nathan G. Brickhouse of Chesapeake; two sisters, Kitty Nixon of Belhaven, N.C., and Carol Ann Eriksen of Chesapeake; two brothers, Charles E. Sari and William M. Brickhouse, both of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Donald R. Joyner. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at 916 Haledon Road, Chesapeake, Va.
