JOHN R. MARTIN SR.

{LEAD} John Reginald Martin Sr., 77, of the 1100 block of Larchmont Crescent, a retired insurance broker, died June 10, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Martin was a native of Exmore, Va., and the son of the late Clarence I. and Alice E. Martin. He was a past president of the Norfolk Naval Base Little League and founder of the Naval Base Senior Little League in 1965.

{REST} Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Perkins Martin; a daughter, Mary Karen Martin of Richmond; two sons, John R. Martin Jr. of San Diego, Calif., and William H. Martin of Waynesboro, Va.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Larchmont United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lewis Morgan and the Rev. John J. Dorgan. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Belle Haven Cemetery in Belle Haven, Va. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
