ROBERT M. WARD

{LEAD} Robert Morris Ward, 78, died June 10, 1994, in N.A.M. Hosptial.

He was a native of Nassawadox and was married to Beulah Nottingham Ward. He was the son of the late Robert Marion and Mary Chandler Ward. He was the former owner of Bob Ward's Tire Exchange Stores in Norfolk for 27 years. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church in Marionville, Va., and was a veteran of World War II.

{REST} Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Betty Faye Hodge and Cathy Wynne, both of Chesapeake; one son, Ronald L. Ward of Chesapeake; one stepson, Addison W. Nottingham of Nassawadox; three stepdaughters, Etna Kelley of Ordinary, Va., Janie Parson of Perth Amboy, N.J., and Saralee Thomas of Portsmouth, Va.; one sister, Mary Kathleen Knowles of Boone, N.C.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

The graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Red Bank Cemetery by the Rev. Brooke Wilson. Doughty Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Friends can join the family at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
