HURCUS J. WILLIAMS JR.

{LEAD} Hurcus Jerome Williams Jr., of the 600 block of West 37th Street, died June 8, 1994, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

He was a native of Portsmouth and was a construction worker. He was a former member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

{REST} He is survived by his wife, Pheobe Williams of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Stacy Williams of Norfolk; one son, Hurcus Williams III of Norfolk; his parents, Dorothy and Hurcus Williams of Norfolk; four sisters, Debra Sheffield, Dorothelia Williams, Joyce Kennedy and Lisa G. Williams, all of Norfolk; three brothers, Michael Williams, Curtis Williams and David Williams, all of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Cook. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The body will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Sunday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home. The family will be assembling at 632 West 37th Street for the processional at 11 a.m. Monday.
