Ironically, Crigger also preceded Killmon.
{REST} Crigger, who has been in the private business sector for the last 10 years, posted a 64-16 record in his initial eight-year stint at the school. From 1976 to 1983, Crigger-coached teams won a Virginia Academies Athletic Conference title, a Commonwealth Conference title and three Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools titles.
``It was just time,'' Crigger, 49, said of his return. ``Things came on real sudden (after Killmon's unexpected resignation). I know very little about what's coming back. I'll just have to get out there and find out what kind of talent we've got.''
``I think it will be a good situation (for Terry), and he's certainly familiar with the school,'' said athletic director Randy Davis. ``Things change in 10 years, but not that much. And he was certainly successful before.''
Davis said the school has not filled its baseball vacancy, also left open by Killmon's resignation.
