CARL W. ODERMAN

{LEAD} Carl W. Oderman, 80, of the 1000 block of Five Forks Road, a retired professional engineer, died June 13, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Oderman was born in Owensboro, Ky., and was the widower of Georgia Munday Oderman. He retired from the U.S. Navy Department after 21 years; worked at NASA for 13 years, Head Facilities Engineering Department, Wallops Island, Va.; was retired from Clark, Nexsen, Owen, Barbieri and Gibson, Head Electrical Design Department for seven years. He was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church, life member of NSPE, VSPE Engineers Club of Hampton Roads and was a member of Atlantic Masonic Lodge (NU)2, AF & AM.

{REST} Survivors include two sons, William E. Oderman and Carl W. Oderman Jr.; two grandchildren, Heather S. Oderman and Heath S. Oderman; and a daughter-in-law, Danna I. Oderman, all of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Haygood United Methodist Church by the Rev. Alan Reifsnyder. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family was at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
