WILLIAM T. MARR

{LEAD} William T. Marr, 72, of the 2600 block of South Kings Road, a retired industrial hygienist, died June 16, 1994, in Portsmouth.

Mr. Marr was born in Princess Anne County. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and Gideons International. He was active in the Good News Mission.

{REST} Survivors include his wife, Esther G. Marr; two sons, Cecil Marr and his wife Leslie of Los Angeles, Calif., and Russell Marr of San Diego, Calif.; a stepmother, Lucille Marr of Chesapeake; a sister, Audrey Marr Nobles of Edgewater, Fla., and husband Lindsay; a brother, John E. Marr Jr. of Southern Pines, N.C., and his wife Estelle; and six grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Kempsville Baptist Church by Dr. Kelly Burris. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests that contributions be made to Gideons International or Kempsville Baptist Church Building Fund.
