ERNELL V. DAVIS

{LEAD} Ernell Vann Davis, 68, of the 300 block of Beech St., died June 18, 1994, in Obici Hospital.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Hanson, Va. She was a member of East End Baptist Church in Suffolk, Junior Matrons, Bible Class (NU)II, Food Service Ministry, Eastern Star, NAACP and the Booker T. Washington Alumni Association. She was a former vacation bible school director and former Girl Scout leader and was the daughter of the late Chetta Copeland Vann and Walter Vann.

{REST} Survivors include her husband, Leon Davis; five daughters, Sandra Lee Scott and Joyce Gwendolyn Davis, both of Virginia Beach, Jo Lorraine Hubbard of Decatur, Ga., Ernell Leondra Bunch of Portsmouth and Vance Faye Davis of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren, Jimmy Almond of Portsmouth, Howard Hubbard and Holly Hubbard, both of Decatur, Ga., Aviance Dyke and Melanee Davis, both of Virginia Beach and Vann Davis of Alexandria, Va.; and sons-in-law, Charles Bunch of Portsmouth and Thomas Hubbard of Decatur, Ga.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at East End Baptist Church by Dr. Mark A. Croston, Sr. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to East End Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad.
