LINWOOD EDWARDS

{LEAD} Linwood ``Fat'' Edwards, 65, of the 800 block of Madison St., Apt. (NU)242, a retired meat packer, died June 16, 1994, in Portsmouth General Hospital.

Mr. Edwards was born in Portsmouth. He retired from A. Maryland Meat Company after 28 years and was a member and usher of Pentecostal Holiness Church in Portsmouth and a member of its Senior Choir and The Brotherhood.

{REST} Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Mae Elliott of Chesapeake and Louise Mitchell of Portsmouth; two brothers, James T. Edwards of Maryland and Ernest Edwards of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Pentecostal Holiness Church by Bishop Thad Brinkley. Burial will be in Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Monday. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The family will be at the home of his niece, Victoria Trotter, 6223 Centenary Drive, Apartment A, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
