MYRTLE R. SMITH

{LEAD} Myrtle Davis Roache Smith, 72, of the 1200 block of Elder Ave., died June 22, 1994, in a Chesapeake hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born in Princess Anne County, Virginia Beach.

{REST} She is survived by her beloved husband and children, James M. Smith Sr.; two daughters, Ann Stewart and Linda Crow, both of Chesapeake; four sons, Bret Smith of Chesapeake, Manley Roache of Virginia Beach, James M. Smith Jr. of Suffolk and Allen W. Smith of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five sisters, Margaret Stewart of Chesapeake, Mae Sawyer of Wilmington, Del., Beatrice Evans of Charlotte, N.C., Daisy MacPherson of Chesapeake and Eunice Dail of Winfall, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. William F. Mahon. The family will receive friends in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. and at 808 Pinecrest Road, Virginia Beach, at all other times.
