Mr. Sobota was born in Brinkerton, Pa. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a C.P.O. with the Sea-Bees as a carpenters mate.
{REST} Survivors include his wife, May Sobota; two sons, Andrew R. Sobota, Jr. of Racine, Wis., and Dennis J. Sobota of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Elizabeth Klimko of Braddock, Pa., Margaret Sobota of Armbrust, Pa., and Jean Pakas of Latrobe, Pa.; a brother, Henry Sobota of Armbrust, Pa.; four grandchildren, Amy Sobota and Scott Sobota, both of Racine, Wis., and Natalie Sobota and Andrew A. Sobota, both of Virginia Beach; and a niece, Robin Mae Ebaugh of Newport News.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Heart Association.
