RUTH GRANT

{LEAD} Ruth Grant of the 32100 block of Rochelle Swamp Road, died June 26, 1994, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie Flythe Worrell and wife of the late Charlie Grant. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Newsoms, and its Missionary Circle.

{REST} Survivors include two daughters, Bessie Mason of Courtland and Mable Grant of Newsoms; one son, Claude Earl Grant of Newsoms; four sisters, Lizzie M. Murphy, Ronnie Grant and Lonnie Sue Grant, all of Boykins, and Etta Mae Grant of Newsoms; five brothers, Calvin Worrell, Raymond Worrell and Charlie Myrick, all of Boykins, Curley Worrell of Newsoms and Curtis Worrell of Petersburg; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Piney Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. T.L. Parker. Burial will be in Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements.
