Ryan was born in Norfolk. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and was an altar boy at the Apostleship of the Sea with Father Frias. Ryan was active in NJROTC, gained recognition in high school art and enjoyed basketball.
{REST} He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leoncio Santos, and a sister, Sharon D. Santos, all of Norfolk; three brothers, Rex D. Santos and his wife, Danielle, of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Ron D. Santos of Munich, Germany, and Kent D. Santos of Norfolk; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Dayson of the Philippines; his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dayson; one niece, Darielle M. Santos of Shaw Air Force Base, S.C.; cousins, Mr. and Mrs Dick Dabu of Norfolk and Mr. and Mrs. Andy Reyes; several aunts, uncles and cousins in California, Chicago, Guam, Philippines and Florida.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Pius X Catholic Church by Father Santiago C. Frias and the Rev. William J. Dale. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, at 7 p.m. Friday, and visitation will follow until 9 p.m.
