Ervin Lidway Wallace, 84, a former resident of Route 4, Washington, died Friday at Britthaven of Washington.
He was married to the former Ruby Woolard on Dec. 17, 1930. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald G. Wallace of Washington and Rupert R. Wallace of Chesapeake; a daughter, Reba E. Hamilton of Greensboro; two sisters, Vernal E. Bullock of Fayetteville and Addie Lee Hoggard of Washington; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Paul Funeral Home by Richard Smartnick. Burial will be in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and other times at the residence, Route 4, Mill Hole Road, Washington. Memorials may be made to the Roanoke Christian Service Camp, Washington, N.C., or Atlanta Christian College, Atlanta, Ga.
