WVEC television reporter Joe Flanagan (left) stepped behind the
cameras recently when he spent a day at The Beacon with chief bureau
photographer David B. Hollingsworth (right). As part of his weekly
TV feature ``Joe's Job,'' Flanagan was handed cameras and a photo
assignment to be completed during his tenure as a newspaper
photographer. First stop was a tour of The Beacon's photography
office and dark room. Then it was on to Beach Garden Park off Baltic
Avenue where he was taught how to load film, how to focus and how to
set the exposures on the cameras. With that lesson under his belt,
he was off to the Boardwalk where he snapped away, shooting a
variety of pictures including the one shown here of a group of
Christian puppeteers entertaining beachgoers with a puppet show at
the Norwegian Lady park at 25th Street.
