Newly elected city council members were sworn in Thursday in the
council chambers of City Hall. Clockwise, from the top, P. Ward
Robinett Jr. takes the oath in front of Sheila Pittman as his

James T. Martin is also a newcomer to the council. Johnny M.
Clemons was re-elected. All the council members officially took
office on July 1.
