WE HAVE Pumpkin Cake and two versions of Mounds Bars. Now we're looking for a recipe for Daffodil Cake. Theresa Clynes of Virginia Beach requests it; she says it's ``like an angel and sponge cake combination.''
Dinah Oglesby of Smithfield is looking for a recipe for Funnel Cakes, those delightful, deep-fried confections sold at festivals.
Carl Courtright of Virginia Beach is asking for a snack recipe he sampled while stationed in Vietnam. Courtright says it was either small peanuts or soy beans that were baked, roasted or fried in a sweet, crunchy coating. He thinks the coating might have been made with sugar and flour.
And Ethyl Philpott of Kilmarnock is looking for a Better-Than-Sex Cake that uses chunks of chocolate.
And a leftover from last time: we still hope to fill a reader's request for Harvest Pound Cake.
