Mr. Young was 63 years old and resided at 293 Nassau Court, Virginia Beach. He was formerly of Portsmouth, Va. He will be reunited in death with his wife, Irene.
Mr. Young served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was employed with Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp. for 29 years.
He is survived by his beloved son, Richard Allen Young of Mississippi, and his brother, Bobby Young of Roanoke, Va. He is also survived by Stella A. Moore (his baby girl), Mary Lauren Moore, Dion Alexander, Daniel D. Adams, and children, Robert, Alexandra and Jesse. Survivors also include Patricia and Russell Tyler and children, Steven, Stephanie and Stacy; also Mary D. Adams, and all the Adams family.
A graveside memorial service was conducted Monday, July 11, 1994, at City Park Cemetery, Portsmouth, Va.
