LILA M. BYRD

Lila Mae Byrd, 89, formerly of Robin Road, died July 10, 1994, in a Portsmouth hospital.

She was a native of Crockett, Va., and was the widow of Charles Robert Byrd Sr. She was a member of River Shore Baptist Church, Portsmouth.

Survivors include two sons, Charles R. Byrd Jr. of Portsmouth and Reginald E. Byrd of Chesapeake; one sister, Vivian Hensley of South Hill, Va.; two brothers, Eddie Cregar of Crockett and Fred Cregar of California; four grandchildren, Leigh Curan, Linda Bradley, Beth Stockard and Cynthia Deller; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by Dr. William C. Russ. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to River Shore Baptist Church.
