Ledora Lewis Britt Jackson, 74, of the 400 block of Dover Court, died July 9, 1994, in Obici Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson was born in Suffolk, daughter of Mable Lewis Harrell of Suffolk and the late Herbert Lewis Sr. She was retired from domestic work and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson was the widow of Rancy Jackson.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Eloise J. Smith of Norfolk; two sisters, Mable Madison and Mary Frances Taylor, both of Suffolk; two brothers, Herbert Lewis Jr. of Jarratt and Joe Henry Lewis of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Britt-Kelly of Norfolk and Linda Britt Winbourne of Suffolk; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in Lakeview Baptist Church by the Rev. John Jones. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will be at 608 Brook Ave., Suffolk. The body will be in the church by 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Crocker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
