During the weekend of May 28-31, my brother and I visited the Norfolk-Hampton Roads-Williamsburg area. It was the first time in four visits that I ventured past Williamsburg. What a delightful variety of things we found to do!
We walked Williamsburg, toured the aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt and the Norfolk Naval Base, visited the Virginia Living Museum, toured Norfolk Botanical Garden and took a tall-ship cruise aboard the American Rover near Waterside Festival Marketplace. And we feel like we just touched the tip of the iceberg. I can't wait to bring my family back to the area.
The area was clean and the people friendly. Prices were reasonable; directions clear. I read some negative things in your paper, but, as a visitor, almost everything was positive.
