She is survived by her husband, Josh Tyler; one son, B. Al Whaff; one daughter, Evelyn Dixon; four grandchildren, Sabrina Whaff, Ingle Whaff, Lajuana Whaff and Monique Dixon; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
A funeral service will take place Monday, July 18 at 2 p.m. in Rose Hill Funeral Home, Rose Hill, N.C. The family will receive visitors on July 15 at 318 W. 36th St., Apt. 5, Norfolk, Va.
