Randy M. Harrell, executive director of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank County Industrial Development Commission, has been appointed to the College of the Albemarle Board of Trustees by Gov. James B. Hunt Jr.
``His understanding of the kind of skills students need and his community involvement will serve Randy Harrell well as we work to improve our state's community college system,'' said Hunt in announcing the appointment this week.
Harrell has directed the Industrial Development Commission since 1987. He is a graduate in education from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He received a master's degree in education from Old Dominion University in 1976. by CNB
