ELSIE S. MERCER

Elsie Slemp Mercer, age 88, of Maryland Avenue, died Friday, July 15, 1994, in Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

Mrs. Mercer, a native of Johnson County, Tennessee was a homemaker and a member of Central Hill Baptist Church. She had lived in Windsor since 1985.

Survivors include: Husband: Paul George Mercer - Windsor, Va.; Son and Wife: Charles E. and Peggy A. Mercer - Windsor; Sister: Elizabeth S. Gentry - Mountain City, Tenn.; Brother: MacDonald Slemp - Mountain City, Tenn.; Grandchildren: Deborah M. White - Windsor, C. David Mercer - Chesapeake; Great Granddaughters, 5.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 18, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Watson and Rev. Scott Ranck. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the residence of the son Charles Mercer, 17133 Pope Swamp Trail, Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to Central Hill Baptist Church, 10270 Central Hill Road, Windsor, Virginia 23487. Colonial Funeral Home will handle arrangements.
