George James Seegel, 52, died July 17, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Seegel was born in Clinton, Mass. He was employed with the city of Virginia Beach, Recovery Center, Detox Unit, and was a volunteer as an emergency medical technician for the the city of Virginia Beach at Station (NU)9, Kempsville. He was a member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church and was a lay person with the Benedictine Order in Graymoore, N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Seegel; two daughters, Amanda Seegel of Henderson, N.C., and Wanda G. Seegel of Kennebunk, Maine; four sons, Jamie Seegel of Henderson, George J. Seegel, William E. Seegel and Christopher E. Seegel, all of Kennebunk; and two stepsons, Robert Terry and Nicholas Terry, both of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Father Michael Breslin and the Rev. Mark Pullen. Burial be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Kempsville Volunteer Rescue Squad. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
