A Navy doctor accused of capital rape was ordered confined until a preliminary hearing is held on charges that he committed sex acts with three children during a 16-year period.
Capt. Marion Hollis Tanksley, 57, a flight surgeon at Oceana Naval Air Station, was arrested July 12 by agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He is being held in the Navy brig at Norfolk Naval Base.
No date has been set for the preliminary hearing.
