MICHAEL DEWSON MODEL AND WANNA-BE ACTOR CHASING HIS STAR TO LOS ANGELES.

While his peers in Virginia Beach are watching trendy ``Melrose Place'' on TV, Michael Dewson will be living there. Or close by, anyway.

Dewson, a Beach native and First Colonial High School grad, is heading to Los Angeles at the end of the month to study acting at the Lee Strasberg school.

And he knows where he'll be living. ``Off Melrose Avenue,'' said the acting wanna-be who already has modeling experience in Miami and New York. ``I'm definitely excited.''

Acting is something he's always wanted to do, and people have suggested several times to him that he would be good at it, he said.

Who knows, maybe someday he'll not only be living near ``Melrose Place,'' he'll be starring in it.
