The Chesapeake Bay Foundation guards the resources of the Chesapeake Bay because it is a vital link in the food chain of our planet.
Efforts by the CBF to control pollution in our Bay will benefit the great-grandchildren of conservative-business-people as well as the great-grandchildren of all other citizens. Thus, to mock or belittle the environmental impact of oil spills, species depletion or vanishing wetlands is not pro-business and suggests that we ``conserve'' nothing!
Your editorial of July 3, deriding the CBF, publicized your great ignorance of how human survival so depends on the great Chesapeake Bay.
While reading the editorial, I was reminded of the words of a family sage: ``Even a dog has sense enough to not defecate where he eats!''
