At long last, juries in this state will have the background information to give criminals what they deserve. As a jury foreman not long ago, I experienced first hand the problem of lacking that information, sentencing a thief with a 40-year criminal record to only three years in prison.
The kicking and screaming by defense attorneys in your recent feature story were predictable. After all, that's one less piece of evidence they'll be able to hide; but it's simple common sense that society will be better off with fully informed juries.
