Edna Powell Buck, 77, of the 1900 block of Dove St., a housewife, died July 23, 1994, in Fort Saunders Medical Center, Knoxville, Tenn.
Mrs. Buck was born in Gates County, N.C. She was the widow of William Earl Buck and was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church, Suffolk. Mrs. Buck was a former resident of Suffolk before moving to Morristown seven years ago to live with her daughter.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy B. Himmelsbach of Morristown, Tenn.; a son, Bobby W. Buck of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. O.S. Glover of Suffolk; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Emma King Powell and Charlie R. Powell.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by Dr. Merle D. Correll and the Rev. Joseph E. Buck. Burial will be in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. to receive friends and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Christian Church Building Fund, 1549 Holland Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
