Caroline ``Carrie'' Worrell Railey, 86, died Sunday, July 24, 1994, in Craven Regional Medical Center, New Bern, N.C.
She was born July 24, 1908, in Southampton County, Va., to the late Naomi Crumpler and Louis Arthur Worrell Sr. She moved to Severn, N.C., in 1956 with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Railey. She was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane Railey Chitty of New Bern and Rosalyn Railey Johnson of Conway, N.C.; a sister, Nellie Worrell Story of Newsoms, Va.; a brother, James Edward Worrell of Suffolk; six granddaughters; and one grandson.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms, Va., by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Arrangements are being handled by Bridgers Funeral Home of Conway, N.C.
