Linwood ``Lin'' H. Hinton, 51, of the 300 block of Stepney Lane, an inspector, died July 22, 1994, in his residence.
Mr. Hinton was born in Norfolk. He was employed with Ford Motor Co. for 30 years. He was a member of Providence United Church of Christ, Chesapeake and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1961.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Hinton; two daughters, Tiffany and Tahisha Mayfield; one stepdaughter; two sons, Vincent Hinton and Roderick Ashby; five stepsons; his mother, Avilla Barber; two sisters, Delores Mitchell and Jean Graham; two brothers, Quincy and Rudy Hinton; five grandchildren; and an aunt, Gloria Brown.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Providence United Church of Christ, 2200 Vicker Ave., Chesapeake, by Dr. Alexander Jamison Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 5 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 10 a.m. for the processional to the church.
