Joseph John Loiacano, 78, died July 23, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mr. Loiacano was a native of New Orleans, La. He was a member of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. He was a retired U.S. Navy chief gunnersmate and the recipient of the Bronze Star and served his country in World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine C. Loiacano; two stepsons, Wayne C. Boone of Chesapeake and Sampson C. Boone III of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Amelia L. Laurent, Bessie L. Giroir and Frances L. Plaia, all of New Orleans, La.; and two grandchildren.
A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 1994 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Edwin H. Rayfield. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
