The Navy pilot killed Saturday in a jet crash at Oceana has been identified as Lt. Mark Sharp, 33, from Portland, Ore. The student pilot injured in the crash is Marine Corps 1st Lt. Carl Hogsett.
The pilots were returning to their Mississippi base after a cross-country training mission here when their two-seat T-2 Buckeye, a trainer jet, developed problems and crashed at 1:55 p.m.
