Police are investigating the shooting death Sunday night of an 18-year-old man who was killed with a high-powered rifle fired at close range.
David Earl Cox, 18, of the 1000 block of West 35th St., was shot and killed about 8:45 p.m. after a daylong dispute with the suspect's family, police said. Arrested and charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony was Isaac Redmond, 24, of the 3100 block of Border Road. The shooting occurred in the parking lot of the Pleasant Park Apartments near Redmond's home.
Police were unsure about the nature of the dispute.
