EVELYN O. WARD

   Evelyn O. Ward, of the 2400 block of Seaboard Road, died July 22, 1994.
   Mrs. Ward was born in Princess Anne County. She had retired from the City 
of Virginia Beach. She was a member of Little Piney Grove Baptist Church.
   Survivors include her husband, Washington Ward of Virginia Beach; two sons,
Robert L. Ward Sr. of Virginia Beach and William Ward of Trenton, N.J.; two 
sisters, Addie Cooper of Virginia Beach and Blanche Albritton of Maryland; a 
brother, Russell Owens of Trenton, N.J.; a brother, Russell Owens of Trenton, 
N.J.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, 
nephews and other relatives and friends.
   The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Little Piney Grove 
Baptist Church, Creeds, by the Rev. M.E. Thompkins. Burial will be in the 
church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling 
arrangements.
