JANET B. O'DONNELL PATRICK E. O'DONNELL

   Janet Britton O'Donnell, 39, and son, Patrick Edward O'Donnell, 8, both of 
200 Montpelier Drive, Edenton, died Sunday, July 24, 1994, from inuries 
sustainted in an auto accidnt in Prequimans County.
   A native of Chowan County, Mrs. O'Donnell was the daughter of Junius and 
Legion Owens Britton of Edenton. She was an LPN with Dr. Cracker at Edenton 
OB-GYN Center and was a member of Edenton Baptist Church.
   Surviving Mrs. O'Donnell are her husband, Thomas Patrick O'Donnell; a 
daughter, Shelly Dawn O'Donnell of Edenton; her parents; a brother, Charles A.
Britton of Pikeville; and her maternal grandmother, Edith Owens of Edenton.
   Patrick was a native of Chowan County and was preparing to enter the third 
grade at D.F. Walker Elementary School. He was a member of Edenton Baptist 
Church and was active in baseball, basketball and soccer.
   Survivors include his father, Thomas Patrick O'Donnell; a sister, Shelly 
Dawn O'Donnell of Edenton; his maternal grandparents, Junius and Legion O. 
Britton of Edenton; his maternal great-grandmother, Edith A. Owens of Edenton;
and his paternal grandparents, Francis Edward and Barbara O'Donnell of N. 
Sandwich, N.H.
   A joint funeral service will be held at a time to be announced by Swindell 
Funeral Home of Hertford. The family will meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. 
Junius Britton, 105 Douglas Ave., Edenton, N.C.
