BEATING VICTIM DIES

   A man who was found severely beaten in the 1200 block of Maple Ave. over 
the weekend died Monday evening at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
   The man, who was described as white, 40 to 50 years old, with blond or 
white hair, has not been identified. Police say he might have been driving a 
faded blue, four-door car and wearing a flowery shirt. 
   He was found in the Marshall Manor section early Sunday and was taken to 
the hospital. 
   There is no motive or suspect in the killing. Police ask that anyone with 
information about the victim or the crime call Crime Line at 441-5100.
