There was jousting and dragon-slaying. A fair maiden needed rescuing, a kingdom had to be saved from the Black Knight.
Most importantly - the Holy Grail had to be found.
There it was - up a tree.
The 120 Colonial Trail Cub Scouts, who spent last week in the great Davis Lakes outdoors, enjoyed Knights of the Round Table-related activities.
They were surrounded by characters of those times, including Merlin the Magician, court jesters, nuns and monks. Many of the boys were dressed for the occasion, wearing self-made suits of armor.
They romped in the royal gaming field, tried archery, played marbles and swam the moat - Davis Lakes.
