Henry Franklin Fail, 64, of Moonefield Drive, died Tuesday, July 26, 1994, in East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills, Fla.
Mr. Fail, a native of Johnston County, N.C., was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Hampton. He was a banker with 37 years of service, the last 10 years as vice president of NationsBank in Smithfield. He was a member of Smithfield Rotary Club, Restoration and Beautification of Smithfield, Gideons International and various civic organizations through the years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie B. Fail; two sons, Henry Russell Fail of Virginia Beach and Mark Randall Fail of Fort Myers, Fla.; two brothers, Ralph S. Fail of Keysville, Va. and Joseph M. Fail of Chesapeake; and two grandchildren, Richard Andrew Fail and Rebecca Leigh Fail.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ian King officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home, and suggest memorial donations be made to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 9304, Hampton, Va. 23670.
