Billy Ray Johnson, 57, of the 800 block of W. 36th St., a driver/foreman, died Wednesday, July 27, 1994, at his residence.
Mr. Johnson, a native of Farmville, N.C., was the son of the late Heber and Annis Moore Johnson. He was employed with Saddler Trucking Co. and prior to that he had worked for 30 years with Capital Concrete. He was a member of New Mount Zion AME Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon J. Neal Demps of Richmond; a son, Reuben J. Neal of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in New Mount Zion AME Church Bolling Brook by the Rev. James G. Smith. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The family will be at 3415 Lens Ave., Norfolk, the home of Helen Copeland.
