GUY M. GASKILL

Guy Morgan Gaskill, 70, of the 300 block of Cherokee Road, died Saturday, July 30, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Gaskill was a native of Harker's Island, N.C. He had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a supervisor material engineer. He had also retired from Seaguard Paint as a chemist. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898. He was also aPilgrim of the Moose. He was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge 56, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies and Khedive Temple.

He is survived by his better half of 15 years, Shirley Gibbs, and her children, John E. Gibbs of Virginia Beach and Susan Bowling of Dunn, N.C. and his sons, Daryl B. Gaskill of Portsmouth, Keith Gaskill of Sioux City, S.D. and Terale Gaskill of Portsmouth; two sisters, Stella Newton of Portsmouth and Barbara Riggs of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; an aunt, Dollie Riggs of Portsmouth; and close friends, Junior and Betty Campbell of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, with Pilgrim Moose Rites by the Rev. Joseph G. Savinsky and the Rev. G.W. Harley. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at 406 Charlotte Drive, Portsmouth.
