Billy Blanford Cantu, 64, died July 26, 1994, in Philadelphia, after a long illness.
He was the youngest child of the late Albert and Lucille Cantu. Billy left Portsmouth and resided in New York City, where he lived and worked until retirement. When his health began to fail he moved to Philadelphia to be closer to his sister three years ago.
He leaves to mourn, his sister, Margaret Cantu Felton Travers of Philadelphia; one brother, Booker T. Shaw of Portsmouth; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services and burial were held Aug. 1, in Philadelphia, Pa.
