GUY M. GASKILL

Guy Morgan Gaskill, 70, of the 300 block of Cherokee Road, died Saturday, July 30, 1994, in his residence.

Mr. Gaskill was a native of Harker's Island, N.C. He had retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a supervisor material engineer. He had also retired from Seaguard Paint as a chemist. He was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898. He was also a Pilgrim of the Moose. He was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge 56, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies and Khedive Temple.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances R. Gaskill; three sons, Daryl Gaskill of Portsmouth, Keith Gaskill of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Tearle Gaskill of Portsmouth; two sisters, Stella Newton of Portsmouth and Barbara Riggs of Pine Knoll Shores, N.C.; five grandchildren, Eric Gaskill, Marc Gaskill, Gennica Gaskill, Derek Gaskill and Stephen Gaskill; two great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Dollie Riggs of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, with Pilgrim Moose Rites by the Rev. Joseph G. Savinsky and the Rev. G.W. Harley. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at the home of Frances Gaskill at 314 Deal Drive, Portsmouth.
