Mrs. Daisy Britt Barrett, age 90, a resident of Courtland, died on Tuesday, August 2, 1994, at the Waverly Health Care Center. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Courtland. She was the widow of David S. Barrett and mother of the late George M. Barrett.
She is survived by a daughter, Lena B. Newton of Courtland; two sons, D. Paul Barrett of Wakefield, Eugene S. Barrett of Cristfield, MD; a brother, Harden Britt of Roper, NC; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield on Thursday, August 4, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Randy McMillen. Burial will be in the Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7-8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, or to the Waverly Volunteer Fire Department.
