Harold Ersel Arrington, 71, of the 8000 block of Jolima Ave., a retired quality inspection specialist, died Aug. 2, 1994, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Arrington was born in Hemphill, W.Va., son of the late Indie R. and John A. Arrington. He was retired from the Navy Public Works Center, Naval Facilities Engineering Command after 32 years. He was a World War II veteran of the Army-Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Helena P. Arrington; a daughter and son-in-law, Deobrah J. and Raymond G. Platte III of Norfolk; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Ethel Arrington of Norfolk; a grandson, Raymond G. Platte IV and a granddaughter, Tia Renee Platte, both of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Clyde H. Johnson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
