Police identified the woman found dead in her Berkshire apartment Tuesday night as Kimberly C. Harksen, 26.
Harksen's husband, Robb M. Harksen, 24, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
At 10:12 Tuesday night, Robb Harksen reportedly walked into the 2nd Precinct and told a desk sergeant that his wife might be dead in their apartment in the 1500 block of Twin Oaks Lane.
When police and paramedics arrived, they found Kimberly Harksen dead.
An autopsy showed she was strangled.
The suspect is being held without bond in the Virginia Beach jail.
