There's little comparison between the former boat ramps at
Portsmouth City Park and the present facilities. On the right, are
the old ramps in 1981 shortly before they were declared unsafe. A
$6,000 repair job provided only temporary improvement.

On the left, are the ``new'' boat launching ramps. Built at a cost
of $600,000, they officially opened in March, 1988.
