Dominion Resources Inc. and its electric utility subsidiary Virginia Power disclosed that they were discussing a possible settlement to their prolonged dispute over the utility's management. Dominion and Virginia Power said their talks began Sunday but said, ``there can be no assurances that these discussions will result in settlement.'' Separately, the State Corporation Commission said it had postponed until Aug. 18 a public hearing on Dominion's dismissal of three Virginia Power directors. The SCC had been scheduled to gather testimony from Richmond-based Dominion and Virginia Power on Thursday.
