The crimes listed below were reported to the Suffolk Police Department. Because they are initial reports, they are allegations only, and may or may not have resulted in criminal charges. DISTRICT A

Residential Breaking and Entering: 6000 block College Drive, July 29, someone took a Signature 2000 Montgomery Wards color TV and cable box.

Petty Larceny: 3200 block Bridge Road, July 29, someone took several rib eye steaks.

Shooting Into Occupied Dwelling: 8300 block Hudgins Circle, July 29, a man said that someone shot at his house.

Resisting Arrest: 6300 block Ferry Point Road, July 30, police said a suspect refused to exit a vehicle and became combative when they attempted to handcuff him.

Possession of Concealed Weapon: 6200 block Ferry Point Road, July 30, police found a hatchet and a filet knife during a search.

Concealed Weapon: Tidewater Community College, July 30, police found a Jennings .25-caliber automatic weapon during a search.

Cruelty to Animals: 1800 block Cotton Farm Lane, July 31, a man reported that someone shot his Rotweiller-Doberman mix.

Vandalism: 37090 block Knotts Creek Lane, Aug. 2, a woman said someone set off fireworks on her front porch, damaging the carpet.

Vandalism: 3700 block Knotts Creek Lane, Aug. 2, someone damaged a mailbox.

Grand Larceny: 6700 block Burbage Lake Circle, Aug. 3, someone took a GE range oven.

Manufacturing Marijuana: 6500 block Skeet Road, Aug. 3, police arrested a man for manufacturing marijuana.

Resisting Arrest: 6000 block College Drive, Aug. 3, police said a suspect resisted arrest and attempted to assault an officer. DISTRICT B

Vandalism: 2700 block Godwin Boulevard, July 28, someone wrapped first-aid tape around the seats and across the front exterior of a bus, and removed the contents of a first-aid kit.

Grand Larceny: 5400 block Nansemond Parkway, July 29, a man reported that someone took a Stanley Mounted Breaker.

Petty Larceny: 6000 block Godwin Boulevard, July 31, someone pumped $2 worth of gas without paying. DISTRICT C

Attempted Escape: 900 block Brook Avenue, July 28, police said a suspect attempted to pry open booking room doors.

Counterfeit Currency: 1200 block North Main Street, July 28, the complainant found a counterfeit $100 bill in a business's bank deposit.

Vandalism: 300 block Boat Street, July 28, a woman said someone threw rocks at her house.

Grand Larceny: 900 block North Main Street, July 28, a woman said someone took the hubcaps off her vehicle.

Attempted Armed Robbery: 300 block Pitchkettle Road, July 28, a suspect told a man he was going to take his bicycle, then pulled a knife, reached for a board and struck the complainant in the ribs.

Petty Larceny: 800 block West Constance Road, July 28, a woman reported that she observed a man conceal a pair of blue jeans under his shirt.

Petty Larceny: 100 block North Main Steet, July 28, a man said someone took his three-way cooker.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 700 block Ashley Avenue, July 28, a man said someone took his 19-inch color TV, valued at $100.

Defrauding an Innkeeper: 100 block North Main Steet, July 29, a woman reported that two suspects received and ate food, then left without paying.

Hit and Run: 700 block Ashley Avenue, July 29, a man said a vehicle struck his car.

Tampering of a Vehicle: 200 block Caly Street, July 30, someone broke the passenger side window of a car and damaged the dashboard and radio.

Possession of Cocaine: Hannah Hunt Boulevard, July 30, police found a substance believed to be cocaine during a search.

Felonious Assault: 800 block Garfield Avenue, July 31, a suspect struck the complainant in the face during an argument.

Concealed Weapon: Church Street and Western Avenue, July 31, police found a six-inch, lock-blade knife during a search.

Assault and Battery: 800 block Brook Avenue, July 31, a suspect entered a home through a bedroom window and choked and slapped a woman. He came back and hit the woman in the mouth.

Grand Larceny: 1000 block North Main Street, July 31, someone broke a car window and removed a speaker valued at $250. Damage to the car was estimated at $200.

Grand Larceny: 100 block Cherry Street, Aug. 1, someone took a Motorola Sprint cellular phone from a car.

Petty Larceny: 1200 block North Main Street, Aug. 2, a juvenile took two T-shirts valued at $7.94 each.

Petty Larceny: 900 block North Main Street, Aug. 2, a suspect took an American Paging pager.

Petty Larceny: 800 block Battery Avenue, Aug. 3, a suspect took car keys and $147 from a car.

Armed Robbery: 1400 block North Main Street, Augt. 3, a man with a gun robbed Home Savings Bank.

Grand Larceny: 900 block West Washington Street, Aug. 3, someone took a commercial vacuum cleaner. DISTRICT D

Possession of Firearm: Beech Street and East Washington Street, July 28, police found a suspect with a Taurus .357-caliber handgun.

House Burglary: 1100 block Nansemond Parkway, July 28, a man reported that someone entered his home and took two VCRs and two videos.

Grand Larceny: 300 block Bank Street, July 28, a man reported that someone took his 26-inch all-terrain bike.

Petty Larceny: 600 block Bank Street, July 28, a man said that a suspect took a McCullock Bush weed-eater.

Vandalism: 600 block Kinsey Lane, July 28, someone entered a vacant home and flooded the bathroom.

Possession of Firearm by Juvenile: 200 block Oak Street, July 28, police found a juvenile in possession of a .38-caliber Taurus handgun.

Grand Larceny: 100 block Holiday Street, July 28, a man said that someone took a Taurus .38-caliber handgun from his car.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 200 block Locust Street, July 28, someone entered a home through a garage door and vandalized a fish aquarium.

Vandalism: 300 block Williams Road, July 28, someone broke a kitchen window.

Assault and Battery: 400 block South Main Street, July 29, a woman reported that a man scratched her on the neck and right elbow.

Possession of Sawed-Off Shotgun: 900 block Lake Kennedy Drive, July 29, police arrested a suspect for possession of a shotgun.

Grand Larceny: 300 block Holladay Street, July 29, someone took a Sparkomatic pull-out AM/FM cassette radio valued at $100, an Optimus equalizer valued at $50 and 15 cassettes valued at $100 from a vehicle.

Grand Larceny Auto: Freeny Avenue and Lloyd Street, July 29, a woman reported that someone took her 1991 Pontiac 6000.

Possession of Cocaine: Bank Street and Commerce Street, July 29, police found a substance believed to be rock cocaine during a search.

Hit and Run: 200 block Holiday Street, July 29, a vehicle was struck in the right rear quarter panel.

Strong Arm Robbery: 100 block Woodrow Avenue, July 29, a pizza delivery man was assaulted and robbed.

Petty Larceny: 1100 block Cogic Square, July 30, a woman reported that a suspect removed her house keys from the front door.

Residential Breaking and Entering: 100 block North Fifth Street, July 30, a suspect entered a home by forcing an air conditioner unit through a window, and then assaulted two people.

Grand Larceny: 200 block North Sixth Street, July 30, someone took a microwave oven.

Felonious Assault: 100 block North Fifth Street, July 30, a suspect forced his way into a home and struck a woman with his hands and and a lamp.

Petty Larceny: 100 block Pinner Street, July 31, someone took food stamps valued at $20.

Third Offense Petty Larceny: 400 block North Main Steet, July 31, a suspect concealed two eight-ounce STP Son of a Gun Protectants valued at $3.15 and a six-ounce bottle of Vicks Nyquil valued at $4.99.

Aggravated Sexual Battery: Portsmouth Boulevard, July 31, a woman was sexually molested.

Breaking and Entering (Residence): 200 block South 7th Street, July 31, a man reported that someone pushed in his screen door and took a 24-inch, 10-speed bike valued at $40.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: 400 block East Washington Street, July 31, a police officer observed a suspect behind the steering wheel of a car passed out with a syringe stuck in his forearm.

Grand Larceny: 600 block East Washington Street, July 31, someone took a Sprint cellular phone valued at $250 from a vehicle.

Larceny of a Dog: 300 block Finney Avenue, Aug. 1, a man reported that a juvenile took his Roitwieller puppy from his back yard.

Grand Larceny: Bank Street and Liberty Street, Aug. 1, someone took a Motorola radio from a Norfolk & Southern train engine.

Vandalism: 200 block Moore Avenue, Aug. 1, someone broke a car window.

Forgery and Uttering: East Pinner Street, Aug. 1, a woman reported that someone forged a check on a closed bank account in the amount of $350.

Vandalism: 700 block East Washington Street, Aug. 1, someone shot a gun at a car, causing $200 damage to the side mirror and window.

Vacant House Breaking and Entering: 100 block Franklin Street, Aug. 1, someone took a portable radio and a five-gallon bucket of white paint.

House Breaking and Entering: 400 block York Street, Aug. 2, someone took 20 to 25 CDs, valued at $400-$500, and some books of checks.

Forgery: 400 block York Street, Aug. 2, someone cashed four checks drawn on Central Fidelity Bank.

Threatening to Burn Residence: 800 block Nixon Drive, Aug. 3, a suspect told a woman he was going to burn her house down.

Petty Larceny: 200 block Oak Street, Aug. 3, a woman reported that someone took her purse from her bedroom.

Tampering with Vehicle: 100 block South 6th Street, Aug. 3, a woman reported that someone attempted to take her state inspection decal from her vehicle.

Vandalism: 1000 block Portsmouth Boulevard, Aug. 3, someone broke a car window, damaged the trunk and hit the door of a car with a heavy object.

Petty Larceny: 1000 block East Washington Street, Aug. 3, someone took an inspection sticker from a vehicle.

Resisting Arrest: Clary's Drive and North Lloyd Street, Aug. 3, a suspect resisted arrest. DISTRICT E

Possession of Cocaine With Intent to Distribute: Peanut Drive, July 29, police saw a suspect throw down a prescription bottle containing approximately $1,500 worth of a substance believed to be crack cocaine.

Grand Larceny: 300 block Lummis Road, July 31, someone took a Virginia Power meter valued at $250 and broke several windows.

Grand Larceny: 400 block Milford Lane, Aug. 3, someone broke a car window and removed a stereo valued at $250. DISTRICT F

Business Breaking and Entering: 400 block County Street, Aug. 1, someone entered a storage building and took three Delonghi 3107 oil-filled electric heaters.

Vandalism: 4500 block Desert Road, Aug. 1, a woman said that someone damaged her mailbox. by CNB
